Despite overwhelmingly insistence from parents, students, business and community leaders calling for Single Member Districts on the Irving Independent School District Board, The all white voting Trustees continue to ignore these demands.
Community based organization Accion America, will be initiating a door to door walk through in Irving's Latino neighborhoods, to lay out plans for a boycott of Irving Schools in the third week of September, by the more than 80% Hispanic Children and parents who are seriously affected and disenfranchised by the lack of representation on the school board.
The Campaign No Voice, No Voy...will be spearheaded by Carlos Quintanilla and already counts with the support of more than 47 apartment complexes located throughout Irving.
Accion America will be seeking a meeting with ISD Superintendent this week, to notify him of the groups plans.

ReplyDeleteLa pregunta ahora es, el interes de los padres onde esta en este momemto, que es y qien se a informado de que es o son single member districts par IISD. Qien es el encabezado de demadar este combio.cuando nuestra comunida ya va desir, ya basta, no mas, no vamos a permitir que el nivel de educacion para nuestros juvenes sea menos y ya estamos en ese punto.
